Ian Salavon writes speculative fiction that blends dark humor, emotional depth, and a healthy dose of weird. His stories range from psychic judo prodigies and punk rock gnomes to cursed janitors and super intelligent cats—with themes of identity, transformation, and power running beneath the chaos. His work has appeared in Small World City, Phano, and On The Premises. Whether serious or strange (usually both), Ian’s writing explores the line between the ordinary and the extraordinary, often ending in some kind of beautiful disaster. When he’s not writing or playing TTRPGs, Ian spends his free time at the Fort Worth Judo Club where he is a black belt and coach. Ian is a professional chef and works for a non-profit charity supplying meals to families of critically ill and injured children.
